The 3 most powerful questions to ask yourself…

My week in pics (L-R:) Fun photoshoot with Laurie Goodman, honoured to be a part of her 3rd Life Messages book, Bobby Umar & Drew Dudley (combined they’ve done more than 12 TEDx talks!), special peeps and good times at Socialight sneak peak event (WANT TO HEAR SETH GODIN LIVE at SOCIALIGHT CONFERENCE Nov.21-22?!? I HAVE A SPECIAL ‘LIVEBIG’ HALF OFF CODE in the ‘P.S.’!), all smiles at Company of Women ‘Live Your Fabulous’ event, Tiffany & I getting blown in the wind!

The 3 most powerful questions to ask yourself…

When was the last time you stepped back and asked yourself some questions?

It’s important to regularly check-in with ourselves and reflect on where we are, and where we want to be. And as we approach the holiday season and gear up to a new year just around the corner, it’s a good time to do so.

These three questions may be ones you learned at a young age, however they are not necessarily easy to answer. And, it’s super important you do so!

What is it that you want? I mean, what do you REALLY want? What do you see in your vision? What are you prepared to commit to?

The more specific you are, the better.

I’m re-reading Napolean Hill’s classic text, ‘Think & Grow Rich.’ It took Hill over two decades to write… and for good reason. It continues to help millions of people understand wealth building.

The first two laws of success (there are 16 in total) are Definiteness of Purpose and Desire.

Until you know exactly what it is you want (and that, of ours, is always changing) you can’t know what your first step is. The more clear and specific you are, the better. And the easier it is for the Universe to give you what you desire.

Why do you want what you want? Why does it matter to you? Who are you serving and what is the legacy you want to leave?

I’m sure you’re familiar with Simon Sinek’s work, ‘Start with Why.’ Now in his work, the ‘why’ comes first ~ however he is referring to your customers first needing to know WHY you do what you do.

The WHY and the WHAT go in tandem. It’s so important to know why you want what you want. Once you have your underlying motives super clear, you’ll be more than motivated to put in the work; you’ll be inspired to do the work. And when a bigger vision is pulling you, there is nothing stopping you.

How are you going to do this? How can you make that happen? How are you going to start?

Okay so now you know WHAT you want, and WHY you want it, it’s time to figure out the HOW.

Once you start asking ‘How’ to do something, instead of ‘If’ I should do something, your mind is already coming up with solutions. Your brain is actually programmed to come up with solutions.

As I once heard, once you know the WHAT (and why!), you’ll figure out the HOW.

And remember, all it takes is one small step at a time…

SO there you have it. WHAT, WHY, and HOW.

Ask yourself these questions today. Even if you’ve done so recently. Every day is a new day. Take some time to step back and reflect, and get super clear on where you’re going, why you want to go there, and what your next step is.

When was the last time you asked yourself WHAT you want, WHY you want it, and HOW you’re going to get it? DO it today! (click to tweet it out)

Have a FAB week!
