The Power of Intention: The Subtle Art of Shaping Your Leadership Journey

While I do love me a good goal-setting session, in our constant chase for achievements and ticking things off, we often forget the power of something more subtle, yet profoundly transformative – intentions. Unlike the rigidness of goal setting, the setting of intentions allows you to be more flexible, more purposeful, more present in your days.

Intention setting is all about aligning our actions with our deeper values. It’s not just about ticking boxes on a to-do list; it’s about living each day with meaning, flexibility, and a dash of curiosity. This way, we’re not just blindly chasing goals, but actually enjoying the journey. 😉

So, just how do we start our day with intention? It’s simpler than you might think!

Each morning, take a moment to set an intention for your day. It could be a mindset you wish to adopt, like being more present or open-minded; a quality you want to develop, like organization; or a simple focus for the day, such as meeting a new person or having a deep and meaningful conversation.

Oprah Winfrey once said, “Intention is the most powerful tool in my toolbox,” and this rings true in the realm of stepping into our brave. When we set intentions, we subtly, yet significantly, influence our actions, habits, and eventually our life’s trajectory.

This week, I challenge you to join me in this practice! Observe how setting a daily intention, even in the smallest of ways, can lead to big changes in how you feel and approach your life. And it’s not just about personal growth. In our professional lives, especially in leadership, operating from a place of intention can also inspire and empower those around us.

In a culture driven by intentions, creativity and genuine connections flourish. As leaders, our actions guided by intention create a positive ripple effect, cultivating an environment where every team member feels valued, and like their contribution matters.

Let’s embrace setting intentions as a practice. Let’s make brave choices and take bold actions. Together, we can transform not just our lives, but inspire those around us to live their biggest lives, also.

If you’re eager to really put this idea –  and learn even more – into practice, I  invite you to join our “11 Days of New Year’s Evolutions 💫! ” 11 days of even more insights and practical actions to help you really evolve this year, and create an even more brave, beautiful, and badass life.

Cheers to making every day intentional, and every moment count.
