Happy Friday!
So it turns out I had it wrong all along!
Well, sort of.
See, I used to think there were only three zones of human experience… and it turns out there are actually four.
And when it comes to fear, I’m being reminded that perhaps it’s not such a bad thing after all. In fact, it’s actually a GOOD THING – especially if you’re ready to learn, stretch and grow.
I would even go so far as to say you need to both embrace your fear and invite it in!
In this week’s video, I’ll share a new model with you so you’ll understand exactly what I mean. If you’re ready to push past your fear, you gotta watch it now!
So, are you ready to get out of your familiar zone, get your brave on, and step into your fear? After all, that is the only way you’ll get to the place of learning and then growth.
You are ready NOW!
I look forward to hearing from you in the comments below…
Have a FAB week,
Great model, Carol–very practical/usable to think through where I operate, why, when, and how to shift!
Glad you found it useful, David! I totally agree having a tangible model always helps me understand my own experiences… and brings a lot of clarity as to why! Cheers to your continued growth!
Facing my fear on the mountain with you last year, and pushing through it to achieve something I never thought possible, has opened up so many opportunities for me to get my brave on and push forward, learn and grow.
Baksho – it’s so true – not only facing your fear, but pushing past it – opens up so many more possibilities for yourself and your life… all of a sudden the world is your oyster! What’s next on your ‘Brave List’ ?!?
Hi Carol. Thank you for this great little video. I saw your title (“Fear Zone”) and I knew I had to listen right away. I’m struggling right now in a ‘zone’ that has been quite ‘fearful’ for me, and it’s been affecting my attitude and my mood, in ways that are not healthy. But I see now that as a zone, that I should recognize, accept, push through and simply recognize that it is part of the process of life.I will now allow it and recognize that it is now part of the stretch area (which is uncomfortable) but will bring me to the next ‘brave’ zone. I am not working in my skills or gifts through this personal challenge, hence the fear and the dragging on, but it doesn’t mean that I can’t ‘use’ it, and ’embrace’ it. I have found a new purpose for this fear. Thank you! It has given me hope!
Hello, Charles! So happy to hear you have now found a purpose for your fear… powerful! I know all too well how uncomfortable it can be to be in a place where you are not using your natural skills or gifts – yet there is always learning there! Cheering you on as you work through the Fear Zone – there is light at the end of the tunnel!
